Successful Transitions: Creating a Win (Clients), Win (Buyer), Win (Seller) Scenario

How to transition the clients and staff is one of the most important but often overlooked phases in the sale, merger or acquisition of any professional practice. This one hour webinar will provide an overview of the different transition scenarios used in the accounting and tax profession. We will explore topics such as the best way to inform clients about the transaction and how long should the seller stay on after the transaction is closed.

Some of the questions answered will be:

  • When and what to tell the staff?
  • When do we inform the clients?
  • What are the risks associated with moving a practice?
  • Is it a good idea to present this as a merger?
  • Who is responsible for the transition?

We will also answer specific questions from the participants. This webinar is a must for anyone involved in the process of buying, selling or merging an accounting and tax practice.
